She sells seashells by the sea shore // Bronsonn + Cyprin - Aquaria - 10-14-2019 This might be a bad idea. It was foolhardy at the very least. At best though, it was a challenge, and she had always found it difficult to turn down a challenge. Perhaps it had something to do with her age. More specifically, that she was the youngest, and the "baby", and had often felt that her elder siblings would always be the first at everything. She'd have to fight to make her mark on the world. Maybe this was the way she'd do it. It was an option, at least, one of several she'd been considering. But first things first. She swam west and north until the mainland shrugged itself before the saltwater girl. This part always made her a little sad. It was home, the sea, and it never felt quite right to leave it. It was a lingering goodbye, as her feet met the sandy floor. At last it expelled the scaley sea horse onto the pebbled beach that was her goal. No further, she knew, not without invitation. She dripped into the rolling waves and scanned the distance, looking for someone to talk to. Anyone looking wouldn't miss the shimmer of her amidst the iron grey water. "Hello...?" Her low voice carried on the water, echoing on the boulders dotting the scene. It mingled with the gulls screaming in a strange harmony. It was a pretty sound, her voice and the sea. She sang a few notes, hearing it echo back to her, sang a bit more. She was no siren, but her voice wasn't bad. It was a fun enough way to pass time until someone showed up. @[Cyprin] @[Bronsonn] RE: She sells seashells by the sea shore // Bronsonn + Cyprin - Bronsonn - 10-15-2019 ![]() B R O N S O N N The curl of her voice is distinct in a world where there was rarely anymore than a rasp. Bronsonn knows it was not one of his blood but it could have been a resident of his new home for he was still just another face among the crags and gnarls of evergreens. Most of Loess is protected by the wall trees that but up against Taiga and Sylva but rarely as others wander so far as to find the sharp cove by the water. Dark eyes look upward momentarily as a heavy hoof rises midair and hesitates. Bron wished for an early autumn to provide relief from the languishing summer. He is a heavy skinned beast that did not thrive well beneath a buckling sun but a weak 'hello' has bypassed the slow roll of waves and picked it's way through an annoying gaggle of seagulls. Both ears shoot forward in response before the feathered limb of the gunmetal and white beast slams to the shale of the coast. She stands small and trembling with eyes far too wide and open. She was not one of his kin for they bore a coveted mark of the dragon or the wild spatter of Nayl's hide. Bron is not quite sure if he should approach nor how if he should. Litter interaction outside of his close family unit has made he rather incapable of holding a lengthy conversation. Salt air rises from the ocean and presses it's misty kiss to his sweaty neck. What harm could come from mingling with a sea drowned mare and her dangerously bright eyes? "Hello...", an echo is his own baritone voice, eyes partial covered by the length of his brow as he works over some lose stone. They clatter down the small decline of where land met sea and he stares at her with a flat expression, unsure of what he should say next. The painted man flicks his tail against the sickly buzz of late summer insects to only have it catch in the barb of some wild berry bush. Bron pays it all little mind and tears it away to leave a wisp of his white tail floating like spider's silk. "Are you lost or do you live here?" Like mentioned before, he was not the most cunning linguist. Bronsonn has inherited his father's dignified stance whilst remaining suspicious and drawn inward. There were little he trusted outside his own blood and it would take some time to coax him to a more civil interaction. i'll keep you close

@[Aquaria] @[Bronsonn] RE: She sells seashells by the sea shore // Bronsonn + Cyprin - Aquaria - 10-16-2019 It was a pair that met her, scrambling down the rocky shore one after the other. Her aubergine eyes gleamed like sunlight through deep water as the two arrived. They shared a color like nothing else she'd ever seen on a horse, though the sea often carried the tint in stormy weather. That alone made her like them, if only for their looks. They could only be siblings she realized, seeing such similar expressions cross their faces as they took her in. The stallion, who met her first, echoed her greeting with a rumble as his sister caught them up. Aquaria felt the flow of blood through her heart surge. This was real now. She couldn't take it back. Couldn't slip back into the water unseen, and pretend she hadn't put her feet on land that might not take kindly to her being there. Her hooves were still being washed by the waves as she is faced with the two beautiful creatures, reminding her that she bore her own strength. It's a fact that gave her the confidence to speak in her turn. "Neither," she responded cheerfully to the burly stallion, smiling as the smaller sibling asked her own question from tight against her brother's side. Of course, it was silly to think of either of them as small, when the moon bright girl stood shorter than either of them. They didn't look to be any older than her, though, which was oddly reassuring. "I'm Aquaria. Nice to meet both of you." Her smile broadened at the girl, Cyprin's, glance toward her brother. It seemed that they had something in common; big brothers who preferred to let others do the talking while they stood stoic in the background. It was Tyr's preferred reaction to company as well. They seemed friendly enough. Not welcoming, exactly, but not running her off straight away either. She drew a hoof through the wet sand thoughtfully, tracing a line in the light filtering through the thin skin of her crest fin. "You both live here?" She asked, before realizing what a stupid question that was. Of course they lived here, she was the stranger. A rough shake of her head threw a few droplets of salt water in the air as she tried to reorder her thoughts. "Sorry, what I meant is, are you the diplomatic sort, or do you just sort of mind your own business?" She would be content no matter how they answered, whether or not they sent her packing. She got a nice swim out of the day, if nothing else. @[Bronsonn] @[Cyprin] |
