The eve he had left Nerine, escaped the prison he had been held in for months, he had come here.  It was the first place he could reach, the closest to the Nerine sea he had crossed in the winter storm.  His weakened body begged for refuge and he had sought it here.  Luckily, spring had been just around the corner.  His malnourished body ached for tender shoots of fresh grass.  It was here that he had gorged himself on everything edible -gaining weight and with it strength.  Even the tattered feathers of his wings had mottled out and fresh new ones returned him to his former glory.

It was here that he maybe stopped intentionally.  To be sheltered from prying eyes that could spot the lavender pegasus.  Or had it been it was nearest to the grey-washed kingdom so as to plot his revenge?  That could very well be true.  Either way, the thought of his torment brought a heated pulse through his veins that was quick to consume him to a fury of ruffled feathers.  She would pay for what they had done to him.  He would make good on his promise if it was the last thing he did...
