hell is empty and all the devils are here; killgore - Khaos - 06-17-2015 He’s rather astounded at this point that the other stallion hasn’t said a word. Why would he approach such a lovely thing, only to give it up without any sort of fight whatsoever? It’s enough to make him want to shake his head, but he resists the urge. If the stallion isn’t even going to try to compete for the mare’s attention, he’s not worth even the smallest expenditure of energy. Killgore is far more interesting by far anyhow. When she agrees to join him, a wicked grin splits his iron face. He spares one last glance for the silent black stallion, before turning the grin on the bay mare. “Let’s be off!” Then without further ceremony, he heads off in the direction of the Cove. _______________________________ The trip to the Cove is, as always, a long one, but it’s made all the more pleasant by having the little dark beauty by his side. She will be a different sort of mare in his herd than the one he has already. Ghoest is a plaything, a little toy for him to have fun with and throw around. But Killgore is something different. She is not a toy, she is a challenge - a delightful little fiery creature that will add an interesting dynamic to his small herd. If she has the interest, he could easily see her making her way up to being his alpha mare. But only time will tell. It takes some time, but eventually they do reach Silver Cove. It’s midday when they arrive, so Killgore will not yet be able to take in the little cove’s full beauty, but he hopes it will be enough to satisfy her. He walks until he reaches the little cliff that over looks the bay, then turns to look back at the bay mare. From this position, the little territory will be spread out before her - rolling grassy hills, sun sparkling off the water below … still a pretty sight in his books. “Well my dear, what do you think?” The moment is slightly reminiscent of when he had brought Ghoest here, but with Killgore, there is no pretext. Killgore has already recognized the beast within, and welcomed it. He can’t wait to see what their future will bring. He’s a little disappointed, but he must allow that the Cove is not as pretty in the daylight as it can be at night, in the light of the moon. It’s a pity though - he knows Ghoest’s instant attraction to the land will make it all the harder for her to leave (of course her fear of him will also be a strong barrier). Killgore will clearly not have that same pull. And he does not wish to cow her the way he does Ghoest. He can already tell that he will have to work harder to keep her satisfied and happy. He briefly wonders if he should continue to allow her to be so brash and strong, but he quashes it. It’s good to have this different personality in his herd. If it later becomes a problem, then he can consider breaking her. But actually, surprisingly, he hopes that it does not come to that. She is, at least, pleased and says as much, returning to his side and brushing past with a tantalizing touch. It warms his iron skin and makes him think of the quickly approaching autumn, and the season that comes with it. He’s interested to see what kind of child they could produce. Could she be the one to give him a talented child? She wants to see more and he’s happy to oblige. The Cove is his little kingdom, and her wants her to like it. “Of course. Where would you like to start? The beach? The hills? The caves …?” He spares a passing thought for Ghoest, whom he has not seen since he carved his mark into her side. He will have to visit her soon for the breeding season, though he rather hopes they do not run into her today. He wants to enjoy Killgore without any distractions. She was fascinated by the ocean, it was something completely new and foreign to her. It was excitement, it was the unknown, and what could a lady such as herself resist more than that with which she was not familiar? Perhaps it was dangerous, perhaps it would swallow her up if she approached it too near. No, she was indeed mesmerized. She was though, not stupid, and did not yet deign to provide the stag with leverage against her. Though she found him impossibly intriguing, handsome and worthy of her attentions like she had not yet felt before..she was tactful. RE: hell is empty and all the devils are here; killgore - Khaos - 07-03-2015 He recognizes in her a kindred spirit of sorts. Not that anything in either of them is at all kind. But in her he sees the beast - the same desire to manipulate and inflict pain. He will enjoy having her in his herd, he thinks. He cannot wait to see what she thinks of Ghoest, if she is not offended by the other mare’s presence. Actually, he thinks he would quite enjoy seeing her toy with Ghoest. He will have to make sure that they meet. It would be fun to have a partner in creating Ghoest’s misery. She comments on the beach, revealing that she’s possibly never seen the ocean before. It’s an interesting fact, though not entirely surprising. Few horses ever have the opportunity to see it, and spend all of their days amongst the endless plains of grass. But he files the fact away in the back of his mind and of course, indulges her. “How about a closer look then?” He heads down the cliff, following a tiny, rocky path that he has come to know well in his time living here. The ground is uneven, but he has sure feet, and he keeps an eye on Killgore to make sure that she is able to keep her footing - he holds down the iron in the earth with the intention of making the earth less inclined to slide. It’s perhaps an uncharacteristically gentlemanly act for him (especially since it is genuine), but he’s quite enjoying Killgore’s presence. He doesn’t want her to become injured. Not yet anyway. When they finally reach the beach, he walks right up to the water’s edge, and lets the cool water lap at his iron skin. He flashes a grin in “You should see it at night, when the moon is out.” He turns away from the water to face her. “Now, would you like the full tour, or would you like the chance to rest?” It had been a long journey here, after all. It was one of those little, secluded crannies. That one might never know unless they had spent quite some time here, exploring the land and noting each little treasure. Killgore carefully as she could, picked her way down the narrow trail, stopping only a few times to consider hoof placement. It was lucky enough to her that she had yet slipped, each close encounter somehow righting itself. Once loose earth, again allowing her traction, as she made her descent. RE: hell is empty and all the devils are here; killgore - Khaos - 07-17-2015 He can’t help but grin at the way she steps across the beach. It’s not exactly cautious, but he can definitely tell it’s not a substance she’s used to dealing with. It explodes into a full blown chuckle when she leans forward to taste the ocean. Never seen the beach before, indeed! “The stream in the hills is far sweeter darling. That’ll make you sick if you drink too much of it.” She reaches back to him and he enjoys the sensation of her nibbling at the base of his neck. It’s a more intimate gesture than he’s used to - he certainly does not receive such tokens from Branka, Ghoest and Noellen. But, he doesn’t think he will mind receiving more from Killgore. “Of course. I think you’ll like it.” She repeated an old proverb back at him, one he’s always enjoyed. He can’t help but let another laugh fall from his lips as he turns to look into her eyes. “Wicked eh? And how wicked are you, darling?” He knows what answer he’s hoping for. He sees the potential for something new in Killgore. She is not like Ghoest and Noellen - she’s not property. She’s not like Branka - she’s not a tool. She’s a creature unto herself. A wild entity. A potential partner. He can’t wait to see what they can do together. Overhead, the calls of gulls litter the air, the alabaster birds diving in and out of thermals. His laughter rigs her ears forward, studying the coarseness of it. He imparts words of wisdom on her unknowing auds, this water, would make one sick. Well, she was the least surprised, it tasted absolutely dreadful. It did however possess a unique quality, at least one she thought was so. The steady rhythm the waves beat upon the sand was rather soothing to her, a steady, consistent serenade. Killgore is pleased that he does not shy from her advances, he takes them in stride, even seems to enjoy them. That was perfect. That was absolutely perfect. meh... and i cant figure out why it is bolding |
