But I think that we missed our connection [Offspring/Warrick] - Ledger - 09-11-2017 Bound for trouble from the start Taiga’s fall has now become common knowledge. He thinks of the wolf shifter, fresh from unknown torture. Does Taiga still stand? A pang of guilt, he could not have known that even as they spoke the land was being burned alive, swallowed by the sea. He hopes Crevan is not too crushed by the loss of his home. Remembering when he had been spit out from the confines of Carnage’s cave only to discover the Gates charred remains. The loss felt ten fold thanks to the haunting trauma he had endured. Ledger RE: But I think that we missed our connection [Offspring/Warrick] - Warrick - 09-16-2017 like the sun swallowed up by the earth It is no secret that Carnage had come to Beqanna and with the faeries, joined in their destruction of Taiga. The glow of the fire from the great forest had been easily seen from Tephra’s many coasts, hauntingly lustrous in the distance. The destruction caused Warrick to remain on edge, to patrol the skies and make sure the fire and water came no further, and kept Tang and the twins close to him. He grows restless as the sight, sounds and smells from Taiga continue to diminish, answering quickly to the one he had met not too long ago.In one fell swoop, the blue-bay stallion lowers himself expertly before Ledger, his wings extending fully as he plants his hooves softly into the earth with grace and ease. He gives the giant wings a few shakes, rustling the ground beneath them, before folding them into his withers and letting the navy feathers fall smoothly against his russet sides. “Ledger,” he greets the stallion, his intense blue eyes meeting Ledger’s one. “It’s good to see you,” The two had only met once before, and Warrick is glad to see him taking responsibility in his new position despite the absence of Nymphetamine and Dahmer’s new role in the guard. Warrick’s tail flicks absentmindedly against his ankles, his blue lips pressing together thoughtfully. The idea is good, but his mind cannot let him forget the venom in Nayl’s voice and the precarious situation Tephra now has between Nerine and perhaps with Sylva now, too. He snorts sharply, tossing his head as he did so, as if to clear the many thoughts running throughout his mind, and to focus on the situation at hand. “The children are growing older,” he muses agreeably, a simple nod of his head to accompany his voice. “It is about time they begin to see and learn that there are responsibilities that come with living in a kingdom. It’s not a bad idea.” Warrick’s eyes shift to Offspring, lifting his chin slightly in the Overseer’s direction. “Can we agree that Nerine and Sylva are out of the question for visitation, for now? If a fire is to be set beneath Nayl to give her reason to begin something with us, I’d rather not have the children be a part of it.” He brings his chin to his chest, the folded wings at his sides shuffling slightly as he flexes them instinctually.
