The lover’s bed had grown cold. The honeymoon had been long over, and the romance was harder to kindle. They were still best friends, and Sahm still caught himself staring and wondering how lucky he was. Newton spent his time with their daughters. He was a dotting father who concerned himself greatly with his children’s happiness. The pair had a family. They were a family, but it was time they spent a moment with just each other. Sahm approached Newton and gently brushed a twill of hair from his beloved’s ear. ”Baby..” he whispered with a cool breath. ”follow me.” He teased before he bounced forward and stumbled away. Newton merely smiled with senses peaked. He matched Sahm in step.
The two danced from the outskirts of Taiga through the fields of Beqanna. Sahm kissed Newton’s neck, and trailed his love to the roans nose. Newton fell into the affection, and once it paused he dove into a heavy embrace. They ran. They kissed. They loved. Intimate nuzzles wove through harmonious movement. It was a private moment only bequeathed to the two of them.
Eventually the lovers were pulled to the meadow. They clung to one another and flirted into each other’s ears. It came so easily to them- the love, and it was nice to relearn their old ways. The meadow was a place they found themselves after the great land reformation. It held memories and amongst their tantalizing lyrics came nostalgia.
