A smoldering fire [birthing] - Ob/Zi, any - Igni - 11-23-2016 Her heart beats fast and loud, trying to keep up with the delivery of the big amount of oxygen that is needed. Her short legs carry her as fast as she can, as she slaloms through the trees of her prison. The found her, they hunt her. She can see them out of the corners of her eyes, but only flashes, a glimpse of black. She smells them, just as she hears the steady rhythm of their hooves shaking the ground. She can hear herself tell them to leave her alone, or is het only in her mind? Fear and panic hold her in their grip, a tight grip. Even at home she feels like a pair of eyes follow her each and every movement. Each sound, how soft it might be, startles her, let alone strangers that close by on her. Igni knows she shouldn’t feel like this. Pangea was home, it was the land their god created for her, she was safe her. Nobody would harm her. And yet, she isn’t able to overcome the fear that had edged its way into her heart and mind. Pain drives her to her knees, her eyes rolling back in their caskets. She struggles for air, gasping, but it doesn’t seem like she’s able to breath in enough air. Even though she wants to scream, she cannot, all she can do is lie there and embrace the agonizing pain. That is when her nightmare twins are born. Although the pain is different, Igni knows its time. This time it is not only the fear due to the trauma she suffered, but also because of her lack of knowledge of what was to come. The stronger her contractions get, the more nervous she becomes. Igni wasn’t ready for this and she hell as not didn’t want any of it. However, there was nothing she could do to stop it, nature went its own way anyway. So when the pains becomes unbearable and the contractions seem to follow up on each other, she moves away from the main living area. Not that there was much place for shelter, the idea of having everybody see her in such a vulnerable state didn’t appeal to her at all. Like in her dream, or actually nightmare, she gives birth to twins. In a normal way this time, they don’t dig their way through their flesh like in her nightmare. As she sits up and looks at them for the first time, she instantly feels strong motherly love. Even though unwanted and feared, they were her children. ”Obscure” she names the oldest one, the blue roan colt, after she cleans him off. Her voice is soft, both due to her tired state, but also because of the sudden peace that overtakes her all. The girl is next, getting the same cleaning treatment as her brother, revealing a pitch black coat. ”Zireael.” @[Elle Belle] RE: A smoldering fire [birthing] - Ob/Zi, any - Obscure - 11-30-2016
"Obscure..." A creature gently creeping from the remains of birth sludge and membranes emerges alongside the dark girl. The small mouth is working in silent tears as the taste of sack and blood drifts over the seeking tongue. The creature's first taste of blood and filth from a sinful union. The creature moves to find his feet after a few moment's of stunned silence. The other that lay in the much is small, weaker. Dark eyes move to peer up at the giant floating head of his mother before the creature. Small and tender hooves that are still soft and clean use the filly as leverage to stand, unminding of any protests or squawks. The small mouth jabs her side. When the creature finds the warmth of a tight and tender underbelly, blood and milk mingle and blend as the roan creature drinks heavily and greedily. Once satisfied at least for the moment, the creature moves away from the tall woman. Limbs fold to nestle him against sand and clay in their dry wasteland. Dark eyes blink against the sting of sunlight as it warms his still slick form, watching the woman and the other child silently. obscure RE: A smoldering fire [birthing] - Ob/Zi, any - Zireael - 12-09-2016 One of the first things she registers is the uncomfortable, painful even, pressure on her limbs and a lost hoof on her hindquarter. Annoyed and trying to get away she moves, wriggling her wet body on the sandy ground. When the pressure stays she lifts her head, muzzle coming in contact with a lost limb, pushing it as her mind urges it away from her. She isn’t aware of the effect it has, but apparently it works, as the pressure disappears, giving her the space to follow the colt up. Long and wobbly legs don’t make it easy, and it takes her somewhat longer than the colt had needed, but not that much later she joins him. Her inky black muzzle trails across the colt’s, only to reach underneath their dam to find the other teat. For a while they stand side against side, the smaller one of the two more underneath the blue roan form that was their mother, occasionally bumping into each other until the lager form pulls away to retreat himself.
