this is the road to ruin - anyone - Kreios - 09-25-2016 They seem unsure of building anything of this new land, but Kreios does not blame them. This is a new world, with new rules and unknown challenges. Will the old ways be enough? Or should they try something entirely new? But he can – what he does – blame them for is their refusal to try. The red and white king stands beneath the ever present autumnal canopy, his warm eyes uncharacteristically hard. He had asked for their input and had gotten a single reply, the suggestion of a young foal. It had been good, of course, but one voice when they are a kingdom of nearly a dozen is little more than a sad echo of what they had been. Perhaps it is time that something change. He does not know what that thing might be though, and he appears unable to inspire novel thought in the dwellers of this new land, so he remains where he is, standing alone beneath a tall tree, his pale tail flicking now and again against his feathered haunches. RE: this is the road to ruin - anyone - Ygritte - 09-26-2016 "Kreios." His name is low and velvety on her tongue. It was hard to miss the spotted stallion as he nears the place she beds at. It seemed like far too much time has passed him she has held him against her skin, whispered sweet words in his ear. She can feel herself crave him more deeply as she raises from the small nest of dry pine needles and fern shrubs. Her eyes encase him in their reflecting globes, soft and warm. Ygritte fears he may run her off...not welcome her touch but she choses to forgo the formalities. He was, after all, her lover and king. The taper of her lips move to brush the strands of mane from his neck to seek the warmth of his skin. His scent brings a comfort to her loneliness, the very same feeling she seemed to have felt since the change. The bay woman can not blame Kreios for it was not his fault. Ygritte had seemed to withdrawal after the change, to take solace with Marlyn and Zai while the king was away, but now...now she needed to see him, feel him. She needed to know that he was not a ghost in her life any longer. Ygritte can not deny that she felt like he was slipping away from her through desperate fingers but she would never stop him...never rein him back from what made him happy but she can help to question if she still did. |
