he laid low the warriors of old; nicole pony, any - Rome - 09-15-2016 he laid low the warriors of old The world is still bright and a beautiful place through the very eyes of the once-spotted horse. In some ways it had been a blessing to be born, unknowing of the world in its mixed ways of beauty and disaster. As a young colt, he had been born with a clean slate, a past that did not hold him down or obligations to keep him in one place. However, there had been circumstances that shaped and ripped at his blank canvas—creating a master piece, not yet a disaster. There are many opportunities for when you are merely a blank slate. As for Rome, he had been one of the lucky ones. He has yet to find anything in this world to crush his childlike mindset. There still, and might always lie, a pure innocence that disappears quite often when you grow up. But for Rome, it was very different, he looked at the world with a different idea. It was also quite possible that he might never lose his innocent curiosity of the world and all that holds. Rome did not fret when the world took away his ocelot features. Instead, he was quite pleased with his new set of wings and strange set of hooves that replaced his paws. His new physical features had been daunting at first but Rome made sure to make the best of it. He found it he enjoyed the feel of the hooves, but thought little of missing his paws. Maybe one day he would be able to run on his paws and be the fastest horse again. As for his wings, well, he hasn’t quite figured them out—maybe in time he might. The young boy, almost grown into his adulthood, stands in the middle of the meadow. His familiar nutmeg eyes flicker across the snow patched land. The day is warmer than most of the days, evidence that winter was almost days away from disappearing. He has started to see the budding of flowers and all other plants. Rome has always enjoyed all seasons, but he particularly liked spring and winter. So, it was not out of character for him to sit here and enjoy the warm afternoon and simply appreciating the works of nature. She had yet to find her mother or her father, but she didn't try very hard to find them. Her father gave her mother away only a few seasons ago and her mother didn't bother to say goodbye. It was probably a hard decision for them both, but Analiese decided to make her own decision starting her own life, one without the Dale. Her beautiful wings were striped from her because the faeries were angry for some odd reason. She was to young and immature to have kept up with the drama, or to know hwy they took the magic from Beqanna. Instead she traveled to the meadow alone with hopes to find someone interesting enough to perhaps travel with. She heard of others creating lands similar to the Kingdoms, grouping up together and what not. Analiese wasn't sure she wanted to join a group, instead perhaps just wonder around the meadow and forest, a nomad of some sort. It wasn't long until her attention was caught on a young stallion, his pelt....it was similar to that of a large cat. Her eyes cocked as she scanned him over, he had wings, he looked like a normal horse aside from his pelt. She gave a shrug, no horse in Beqanna was normal, she swayed over towards the young stallion and gave a small dip of her head with a gentle whinny. Hello there, who might you be? she asked looking for his gaze. Without her wings she was just a plain jane, not interesting enough for the others. My name is Analiese she added with hopes to make him feel more comfortable around her. Don't Wait For The World To Recognize Your Greatness, Live It And Let The World Catch Up To You @[Rome] RE: he laid low the warriors of old; nicole pony, any - Rome - 10-24-2016 he laid low the warriors of old He too has heard of the news of others gathering. Horses grouping together and forming some sort of sanctuary for those that need a safe place to go. A place they could maybe one-day call home again. There was not just one that sprouted, but many of them appeared across the land. Rome has yet to even enter into one of them, let alone explore this new world still called Beqanna. There is much he has not done, but there will be a time and place for it all he knows. As for his family though, he hasn’t also really dwelled on that subject either. Rome had certainly come to an age where he was capable of being on his own, but it did not mean he didn’t have to look for his parents. Kreios, his father by lies told to him from his mother, was still around in his own place, and his mother was off in another land safe and sound. However, Rome’s true father was long gone—and may always be a secret he doesn’t know. These little facts did not cross his mind right now, instead he focused on where he was and what was around him. This was his life—a beginning for him to start. Rome is quick to catch the scent of the other horse. She, however, carried the feminine scent that carried so heavily in the presence of stallions during this time of year. The scent was new and full of life, but he does not cling to it like a madman like some do who have no willpower of their own. Rome is simply interested in it, the feeling is sweet and enticing. It is new and fresh, but he does not draw to it so blindly. Instead, Rome smiles as the young mare approaches him. His head tilts politely as nutmeg eyes search across her silky black coat. He finds her eyes though first and never lets them fall away. “Hello there, Analiese.” He says with a calm voice, but there is an obvious hint of friendliness in his words. Rome has always enjoyed the company of others. Meeting strangers though was something he enjoyed most of all. “I’m Rome.” The name and greeting comes easily from his lips as he introduces himself back. The beginning of conversation was easy. It was simple to draw in and form words. It only seemed to become more complicated as the conversations draw on and the subjects change something more—sometimes it became too personal for others. “How are you doing this fine day?” He asks with another smile.
