Gone was the vegetation she used to hide behind. Instead she found herself standing on a mountain, ground slightly uneven but covered with grass anyway. Exposed, that was what she felt first. Everybody that would look in her way would be able to see the black filly. But then her red orbs start to tear up and soon the first tears are rolling down her cheeks. What had happened? How could the Jungle be gone and how could she have ended up in this place? Jinju didn’t recognize any of it, but she didn’t know Beqanna like most adults. She had only memories of the Den and the Jungle, yet she didn’t recall seeing this mountain from afar either. ”Momma!” Her voice is shrill and high-pitched, like all children sounded like. The distress was clearly audible too. Not only audible too, everybody that would see her could clearly see how much she was panicking. But that wasn’t really something you could blame her for that. Jinju had already lost her mother once and even though she didn’t really remember anything about her real mother, she was aware of the fact that she had been dumped at the Den. Her adoptive mother had been more of a mother to her and Jinju had started to think of Lexa as her real mother. And losing her mother.. No, she wasn’t ready to go through that process at all. ”Mom! Where are you?!” While she was stumbling down – thankfully she hadn’t been too high up the mountain – the black filly was glancing around, desperately trying to find a glimpse of the black appaloosa Amazonian queen. Eyes focussed to spot every movement, even the wind gently rocking the grass. That was what she had been looking at, just before she glanced away again, standing still the whinny loudly. It was then that Jinju noticed the crackling sound behind her. Slowly she turned her head back, glancing to the side and then behind her. She couldn’t believe her eyes. It was only small, but the smoke, the smell and even the small fire was hard to miss. Her red eyes widen in shock and Jinju stared at the growing fire for a while, her face paled underneath her black coat. By the time she ran off, in blind panic, the tree was almost completely on fire. It was probably a good thing that the tree stood alone, otherwise the whole forest could’ve been set on fire. Yet that wasn’t really the thing Jinju was aware off as she crossed the invisible barrier that stripped her of her undiscovered ability.

|
