you're going to hear me roar; celeana, killdare, malis, diplomats - Lexa - 08-29-2016
the dead are gone, and the living are hungry.
It’s time to get to work.
Lexa eyes the approaching border with much trepidation. It’s been years since she last stepped foot in this kingdom. She hasn’t been here since … well, not since the war. Her mind fills with memory as the treeline grows closer, and she gives herself a little shake, futilely trying move past the memories. She’d lost her mother then, and her sister in a way. She’d killed here too.
She’d gone into the Chamber a naive young warrior, and she’d come out … changed.
She sighs quietly as they come to a stop right at the border’s edge, and she glances briefly at Celeana. She’s glad the younger mare is here with her - Celeana will keep her grounded when Killdare and Malis arrive.
She squares her self and gives herself another little shake, before turning her eyes back to the thick forest of the Chamber’s western border. The thought of making peace with the Chamber still brings a bad taste to her mouth, but she knows that what Joscelin had said at their meeting had made sense. There’s been too much bad blood lately, with the Jungle, with the Chamber … with everyone. The Jungle needs time to heal and rebuild, and she has no doubt that the Chamber needs the same. And, not to mention, a treaty here would put their potential ally, the Tundra, in a far less awkward position.
Only time will tell if the Chamber agrees.
Sighing again, she lets out a loud call for the kingdom’s rulers, then settles back on her heels to wait. Hopefully it won’t take long for the diplomats to arrive.

Nymphetamine
Nymphetamine was always in and out of Chamber as he came and went tending to the alliances and other issues that arose. It always seemed that Spring always brought new issues, new friendships, and new life. Sure the green that had already started to take back over Chamber’s pine forest, and Chamber’s Governor couldn’t be more excited. It was common knowledge that he was no fan of winter, so the greenery was more than a welcome sight. However, this time as he went to leave Chamber on yet another errand, there was an extra addition to the greenery. A black mare and another mare that smelled of heat and rain, stood at Chamber’s border. The queen of the Jungle herself bold and alert on the edge of the kingdom, and Nymphetamine could not deny her an audience. His errands would have to wait, he was sure all would be fine in the end.
The necromancer’s blood bay form altered its path as he made his way to the queen. He was sure whatever brought the old enemy to the border would be an interesting. His feet slowed to a halt before the the two mares, stance firm and head high. No one would blame him for being wary of the visitors give the the two kingdoms’ sordid past. It isn’t very often we are visited by the Jungle, let alone her Queen. I’m Nymphetamine, leader of the diplomats, What brings you to Chamber? His voice was conversational, and curious… He would do his best to save his judgement until after they state their purpose. After all the jungle queen was relatively new, and many things had changed since she took the throne.

I am not afraid.
Celeana
This was a first for her. She had never had a reason to volunteer for anything that included any means of diplomacy, she would rather prefer war. And when Lexa asked for volunteers, now fully initiated Celeana had to find herself her purpose. That she could follow in both paths of war and diplomacy so she did. She volunteered only that because she felt some sort of protectiveness over her new Khaleesi. She couldn't find a word to necessarily place her feelings but it was something buried deep within her soul, that she simply couldn't explain.
So here she was, following the footsteps of Lexa, limb by limb she followed until they reached the border did she come up beside Lexa. Ebony lobes pricked in both alertness and a sheer bit of curiosity. She had seen and met equine from the Falls and Gates but, not the Chamber.
She remains silent like a rock, unaware of what to do or if there was anything necessary to do other than just wait for the King and Queen of the Chamber along with their diplomats to meet them at the border. Her muscles become tense as a red figure greets them she feels the need to almost step in front of Lexa but she keeps her protective feelings grounded for the moment. She knew Lexa could probably fair better in battle than her for her queen was gifted the the power to control ity bits of carbon from the earth.
"Hello, I'm Celeana and this is my Khaleesi, Lexa." Celeana states plainly, her face remains expressionless. "We are here to discuss the terms of a possible treaty." She shifts her cranium towards Lexa for she feels a treaty is quite explanatory and there is nothing else to be said on her part.
