Nyxia was born in Heartworm's dream world but was soon after expelled, Heartworm choosing to keep her win sister Irisa instead, back to Beqanna where she was found by her father, Tarnished.

Nyxia grew up in the wildernesses of Beqanna, Nish having strong-armed a herd of deer into letter her nurse of the lactating does, making friends with woodland creatures and keeping fairly isolated otherwise. Thus, she grew up kind, sweet, naive and gentle. As she grew up, she knew only these things: the woods and her father's protection.

Right before the war in the Chamber (Feb/16) Nyxia set out from the Forest to the Desert, having found out that was where he father was living, and there she stayed in relative harmony for a few months. Then the war broke out, spilling across all borders, not least of which - The Desert. She was spooked by the clatter of magic lightening, which sent her reeling to the Desert's oasis when she could not find Tarnished. There, she was spotted and feel victim to Pollock, who had been hired like a mercenary by Demian to cause chaos when the Desert was unguarded.

He killed her. Or, so he thought and he might as well have. She left her body, in transit to the other side when a strong force picked her waning consciousness up. Dream. She floated into an in-between, for an indeterminate amount of time, until finally being pulled through the barrier and back into Heartworm's world. Heartworm found her, with Irisa, drawn by the disruption in her world and by the calls of 'father'.

Once found, Nyxia met Irisa for what was essentially he first time - and her mother, who was taken aback and agitated by her intrusion. Heartworm could not understand how she got back in, but did not want to the reminder of Tarnished's defiling. In the process of trying to expell Nyxia once again, Heartworm found she had to completely tear down the world in order to rid it of the girl. he did, and they all woke up in the Meradow, where Nyxia body had been mysteriously moved to (more than half dead, at this point) when the Desert was flooded.

Nyxia body slowly came-to, she found she had lost her left eye to Pollock's violence, and the left side of her face was disfigured and poorly healed. But she was alive, somehow. Heartworm retreated with Irisa, and Nyxia was unable to track Tarnished down (who by that time had been killed).

Nyxia wandered aimlessly. Searching for her sister and her feather, when she was caught up in a strange rift in time. Nyxia was ushered past the fold of time to series f stagnant place, trying to help Time himself recover a mysterious woman - his love, in the end, it turned out. Nyxia crossed strange, timeless islands and passed through a dark, dying wooded passage, lorded over by a menticore who had eaten everything else in the world and had his sights on her, too. She managed to escape with her life, just, slipped through another rift and into the terminus of her adventure. She found the woman Time had been looking for, but in her overwhelming fear, she was too cowardly to help the woman out, and instead choose to escape, slipping back into Beqanna unharmed.

Nyxia wandered on, now haunted by strange creatures, 'escaped' from the worlds she had been to, always moving along in the periphery of her vision.
