Callis was raised in a large family. Her parents never had much time for all their children so Callis and her siblings were left on their own much of the time. Her siblings began to bully her early on because she was a very small and weak foal. As she grew she remained the smallest in the family, and though her siblings teasing wasn't always hateful, it deeply affected her. Callis has since been very insecure about her height. She grew more and more timid and scared over the years to the point of hardly being able to socialize with horses outside of her family. One of her older brothers realized later on that Callis was unusually shy and after talking things through with her he realized how afraid she was. Over the next two years Callis and her brother grew closer and became best friends. He helped her gain some confidence back and the two became inseparable. Eventually the time came when Callis' parents decided that their children must leave and so most of her siblings went their own ways. Callis and her brother stuck together for the next year. Wandering to and fro with no particular goal in mind. One winter, while travelling with her brother through a dark field they were ambushed by robbers and she lost her brother. He had told her to run away, while he distracted the attackers. She ran, and never saw her brother again. After that her confidence was cut in half. She was worse than before and now she was grieving the loss of her brother. Now only time will tell if she will recover at all.
