As is the case for all water nymphs, Asterope is supernaturally beautiful. A dark teal with a silver sheen, she emits a soft blue glow that strengthens when she is submerged beneath the water’s surface. A creature of the water, her ombre red to soft teal mane and tail are filled with moss and blue lotus flowers. Her wings are dark teal and tipped with soft teal and the same vibrant red as her mane and tail.

Asterope is a mournful thing. A winged thing, tethered by magic to a specific body of water in the forest. The secluded pond buried deep in the dark of the woods is her entire life force and she cannot move beyond its edge. There is a darkness in her but there is kindness in her, too. A want to help those who wander into the brambles, those unaware of the dangers lurking in the forest, those who cannot help themselves. She channels her healing through her water. But she can be a moody thing, especially when the isolation sinks too deep into her psyche. Because it is a rare thing that wanderers find themselves so deep in the forest.
