Barley is a rich deep shade of gold, matching the shade of the Dewdrop Deserts exactly. Her paint markings follow a typical frame overo pattern, with her entire lower jaw and top lip being white as well. Her eyes are a bright emerald green, fading to golden-brown at the center.

She has inherited her grandfather's spinal mane, which is flaxen and white, though she most often hides it with her invisibility trait, making her mane and tail look normal.

Her glowing manifests in her white markings, which glow only under direct moonlight.
