Azlyn was born to the mare Ram, and raised by her for the first year of her life. However when Azlyn's younger full sister Makaria was born, Ram abandoned the both of them, leaving them in the den. There they were found by Pevensie, who decided to adopt them, and brought them back to her home in the Amazons. There they met Pevensie's other adopted child, a blind colt called Kione. The three of them got along pretty well, and Azlyn and Makaria's first year in the Jungle was fairly uneventful. As Azlyn grew older however, she began to venture further and further out of the Jungle, against Pevensie's wishes. One day when she was 2 years old, she spotted an oddly coloured stream and decided to swim in it. Upon leaving the stream, she discovered that the faeries had turned her into a bright violet colour. She's had a very negative view of the faeries ever since. When she returned back to the Jungle, Pevensie was horrified by the revelation (having had negative experiences with faeries before), while Makaria and Kione were enchanted by the idea of faeries. Soon after, she took the oath to join the Amazon sisterhood, though the Jungle did not see fit to give her a tattoo, something that, at the time, was a sore spot for her. She ended up joining the Amazon army, and took part in the war against the Chamber. During the battle, she tried her best to protect Queen Echion, and ended up facing down the maddened trait mimic Chytrid (who had gone mad after coming into contact with all the traits present in the battle). She was left with claw marks on her left shoulder, and a long jagged slash running down her left side. As they were not life threatening injuries, she refused to go to the Falls for healing, as she wanted them to scar so that she would have some symbol to represent her loyalty to the Jungle (since the Jungle would not give her tattoos). This was a point of contention between her and Makaria, as Makaria thought she should get them healed. This led to more than one argument between the sisters. As Azlyn aged, she also became more and more protective of her younger sister, which also caused many fights between them. Things came to a head when Makaria and Kione came up with the idea to go on a quest to find the faeries, and ask them to return Kione's sight. When Makaria revealed the plan to Azlyn, it devolved into a huge fight, which ended with Makaria abandoning the plan, but also leaving the Jungle. Azlyn has not seen her since. With her sister gone, Azlyn quickly lost interest in kingdom life, and left to hunt down her sister. She has wandered ever since, never settling down in one place for long. She's had five children during that time, all of which were raised to the wandering life. Currently she's come back to Beqanna to visit with her adoptive mother Pevensie, who's become queen of the Desert.
