He was somehow lost from his birth mother and found by a deaf and mute mare. This led to his socialization skills to never really fully developing. But his first adoptive mother was viciously killed by wolves during the dead of winter and he was left to fend for himself before he was even a year old. Sick and starving to death, he was soon approached and tamed by a mare named Yael. She earned his trust and brought him back with her to her home in the deserts. He remained devotedly loyal to his Ima and those that she considered under her protection. But they were seperated and he can't reliably remember anything about his life before the darkness.
