In The Past
Belgaer is the third son birthed unto Brennen and Galilee, he has lived a fairly uncomplicated life thus far. Trained since the time he was a young colt in the art of combat, he has nothing but fond memories of his youth upon Ischia.

Year 196
Now a mature stallion, Belgaer participated in the Beqanna games hosted by the Goddess Nike. With his team claiming second place, he chooses to give his winnings to his younger sister, Mosrael, taking her third place earnings for himself. On his return home he encounters the mare Josie and, together, they complete the journey to Ischia. Finally home, the two enjoy each other's company and he wastes no time on showing her around the island. New feelings begin to grow inside of him and it's with a great amount of reluctance that he is forced away from her to meet with his father. Brennen warns his son of his intention to take Krone's throne. Although torn, Belgaer swears his loyalty to his father. It's agony to wait, but they are all offered a brief distraction in the form of Belgaer's newest little sister's birth. As the whole family gathers upon the beach, he can't help but think about the changes that lingered just upon the horizon and the hope that, one day, he too would see himself become a father - with Josie by his side. Determined to tell her his feelings, he never gets the chance before the chaos of Brennen's takeover sweeps her away. Josie slips away with those in support of Krone. Loyal to his father, he lets her go. As the dust settles, he follows Brennen to Nerine to help solidify their relations with Nerine. It's on his way home that he stumbles upon a very disoreinted filly named Pond. He is quick to offer his assistance and escorts her to Ischia where they hope to find the answers that they seek. Taking some time to himself, he wanders to the lagoon where he meets one of the island's newest residents, a kelpie shifter by the name of Deiti.
