Raxa was born to two quarter horse parents, her father a resident stallion within the herd as his brother led it and often looked to his older sibling for help. Many viewed this as strange, and warned the stallion that an anomaly in the herd like that would come back to bite him. A year later, in the opinion of many, it did. Raxa was born with all her current features, from the brindled pattern to the white face and pinto markings. Her mother tried to love the filly, but as Raxa was ostracized by the entire herd, father included, the brindled filly's mother knew she would have to take her daughter (Raxa) somewhere safe to grow up. Rumors of that spread through the herd, and on the eve of their attempted leaving, Raxa's mother was held back, and another resident mare found where Raxa was waiting for her mother. The mare tricked the brindled filly into believing that her mother wasn't coming, that she was glad Raxa would be out of her life, and to a young filly, the words rang true. Raxa abandoned her herd life, escaping out into the wilderness and hanging onto an intense hatred for her parents, which developed into wariness towards other horses. She learned how to survive over time, and spent some seasons with herds whose stallions managed to catch her and bring her to join the mares. However, Raxa would always escape, having heard the rumors of her coat color spreading, and knowing she didn't belong. Until arriving here, Raxa has been on her own, without staying or living with any herd, for a year. Prior to Beqanna's change following the war, Raxa was a warrior in the Falls kingdom. While there, she became friends with a few horses, notably Anahi, her foals, Nitika, and her only foal Siba. She also befriended Jedi, a warrior stallion whose foal she would later go on to carry and give birth to. She valued the friendship she had with Jedi, but following the revelation that he had already found a lifetime partner prior to the conception of Raxa's daughter Zhenga, the mare broke off all ties with him. She gave birth to Zhenga shortly after Beqanna changed, and made a home in Sylva, alongside her daughter, Anahi, and Anahi's second foal, Eiria. She served as a warrior alongside Jedi's lifetime partner, Sunfall, and neither mare currently knows where he has disappeared to. As of most recent, Raxa has been taken prisoner by the cremello stallion Gryffen, after the latter took over Sylva following Djinni's surrender of leadership. Raxa's unique coat color is the result of a mutation. Both of her parents carried the roan gene, a dominant trait, resulting in her red roan base coat. The white flecks of hair that form the brindle stripes are a result of a rabicano mutation, since it is even throughout her body and not focused on the flanks or the abdomen. Her brindled pattern was a result of an incident while in utero, and the rabicano mutation combined resulted in the white brindle stripes, rather than black as is normally seen on brindled horses.
