    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She had come to Beqanna for a fresh start. Her mind wandered aimlessly over the life she had started but hadn't quiet lived in Beqanna yet. She had always been bright and bubbly, a wayward lullaby stringing from her lips at the most unnecessary moment. Her greys had always shined bright despite their mute and basic description. Her opal feathers had always intrigued her when she was flying, the sun scampering away in an array of colors.

    Flying.

Today she walked. When did this happen to her? When did her grey's because as dull as they sounded, when did the flow of her locks become limp along her powerful neck? When did her feathers falter beneath the Ray's of the sky? Her fetlocks dragged along the snow covered earth as her head hung low. She did not hold that spark about her today.

The months she had spent here she had not found someone to call her own, to love. Her thoughts wandered to the buckskin filly that was her daughter and sadness crept into her heart. She was not the mother she had hoped. She, even today, left her daughter to fend for herself only returning to her at night to steal innocent moments to herself. To make her feel like she was not the worse mother in the world.

When did this become this shell of who she was?

She had not been here before, she was sure she had longed to walk these lands from the sky once or twice in her passing to nowhere. Her light blue gaze scanned the trail infront of her covered by the blank whiteness of winter and a chill ran up her broad frame.

    She was lonely.
