    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Ophanim
His halo turns like the rings of a lazy planet, burning golden behind his head. Starsin is heavily pregnant now and he finds himself growing anxious as he awaits the birth of his heir, their firstborn. The bright winter sun reflects off his perfect white wings and makes him a blinding sight to behold. Ophanim idly chews the corner of his lip as he keeps his eyes trained on the horizon, searching for anything to distract him for the time being. A gentle breeze brushes the golden forelock from his pale face and he sighs softly against the wind. Soon, soon he would have a perfect family to watch over. The thought brings a smile to his face as a quiet warmth floods his heart.

    Lord Maoz
" YOU WILL HEAR ME ROAR "
His tail trailed behind him through the cool grass as he made his way to the river, his gold stripes gleaming in the sunlight and his horns poised for flesh if need be.  His icy blue eyes scoured the land before him, taking in the delicate scenery. The pale being was not used to such grassy lands, he felt as if he had just stumbled upon a treasure room, plenty of grass to feed on and cold water waiting to meet his parched lips. Aloysius too enjoyed the sight of the fresh water, and was eager to quench his thirst, trotting quickly over to the cold body of water. As the duo approached the bank Lord Maoz realized they were not alone, his cold gaze settled upon another equine of decent stature, his pure white plumage shining brightly in the sun. With a whip of his tail and a small stomp of his golden hooves he attempted to make his presence known to the golden horse nearby.

    Ophanim
Ophanim lifts his head at the sound of another approaching, a soft smile forming at the corners of his lips. His wings ruffle and then settle against his back as he decides to come closer to the stranger despite the way his instincts command him not to. The angel boy’s bright blue eyes cast a sideways glance at the white lion but he reminds himself that death is just a word to someone like him. The tiny moon hanging between Lord Maoz’s horns draws his attention and he tilts his head curiously as he watches it hovering there for a moment. They are similar in many ways and Ophanim finds some strange comfort in that fact.

Hello, my name is Ophanim. What’s yours?” he asks as the gold across his skin begins to shift. The splashes turn to stripes to mimic his new acquaintance, but he says nothing aloud to compliment him. Still, there is a glimmer of admiration in his eyes as he watches him.
