    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

And there's a lesson waiting to be learned
the firestarters always get the burns
and the good guys never get the girl

She’d left the scene - and with that, the probably confused, upset or irritated lady she’d met in the field. But she’d not seen another way, a way to not make this mess any worse than it already was. She’d never seen or heard from Arithmetic after he’d held her against her wishes. And she’d thought to be over it by now - clearly she was not. But it should not have ended with such an outburst on her side, in front of another who had instead neede an explanation about the lands of Beqanna and it’s kingdom herds.

She’d change it if she could, but no, she could not. And above all she also could not explain it either, to herself or to another. That’s why she left the field, but not yet in the direction of home. Instead she walked to the nearby meadow, with the array of strangers and sparse trees surrounding her, to help clear her mind. Or at least she hoped so.

and shooting stars cannot fix the world

    Sorry I’m late...

Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this: men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget.
