    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The days have turned to weeks, and they stretch now into years that pass in the blink of an eye.

Still, Walter has not grown tired of this place. It battles her, for Djinni had explored each part of this land as thoroughly as a corporeal creature. The land is explored, the plant and animal life categorized, the equine residents studied for points of weakness and potential usefulness. What else could be interesting about this place?

Nerine is no better or worse than any other place Djinni has rested her head, but as the post-Reckoning years wear on, the iron grey coast becomes a portion of the longest periods of stillness in her entire life. She does not realize this of course; if she had, the mid-life crisis the likes of which she might have faced could have turned Beqanna to ashes.

She must find something with which to pass her time, and she remembers halfway through a grey autumn afternoon that she had told Hestia that she'd do something for the kingdom. She twirls the thought in her head as she spins a waterspout out in the sea, and the saltwater drops back to the waves as the dun mare turns abruptly on the spot and disappears.

She appears instantaneously next to @[Lewana], having wished this meeting out of the way and begun.

"You told Scorch you lacked a sense of fear and that you were an asset to the Sisterhood." Djinni says without preamble, fixing the mare with an impenetrable sea-green gaze. "Are you ready to prove that?"
