    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Son of a Red Eyed Ghost

He can feel it creep within the shadows of the Sylvan forest again.  That eerie chill on your neck that makes your hair stand up.  It wakes him from his slumber with a jolt.  Sleepily, he walks to their cavern door and looks to the darkening skies.  The stars are consumed quickly by the rolling clouds that move in.  It unsettles him.

Turning to find his partner, standing protectively over their twins, he nudges her Chestnut shoulder.  Whispering lowly to her, "Kuma, something is happening.  We need to leave...Now!" He doesn't have to say it twice.  She could feel it now too.  Brushing over the twins with her muzzle, they wake quickly and are on their feet.  He goes first.  Scoping the area before they begin fleeing to the North.  They had to distance themselves from the evil that was sure to poison them all.

Demi of course transforms into a bird of night.  Keeping watch from the safety of the skies as they travel.  The owl was her preferred form during darkness.  He was amazed by both of his children's traits.  So different but so fitting.  Momentarily his thoughts go to his other two children.  Where they were and if they were safe? It would plague his mind until he knew.

Soon the reach the borders.  The aura here was light and inviting.  Relieved, they slip within the kingdom.  Careful to not awaken any who were sleeping.  They would return to their slumbers until morning.  Then he would find others and seek refuge here...

    Imperial

Basically they are moving here and I'll maybe put up another post later when I have more time, for meeting others.  Demi may come out more than the rest but you can add:
Imperial, Kuma, Demi and Embassy to residents.  Demi could be a spy or diplomat eventually Smile

A little breeze goes a long way

The moon-coloured mare doesn't sleep much these days. She's not feeling tired about it or anything; but she's tense. She's heard by now about Lamb's dishevelled arrival, about Sylva. She's seen what it has done to Sabra - stepping down and suddenly seeing your former kingdom crumble and die and become an evil that festers, that spreads - it sounds horrible and she can forgive the woman for taking it personally, even if nothing could have helped her foresee this happening.

No, but, she Ilma is on edge. With Loess and Sylva to their southern borders, suddenly letting Tähti away for a year to be in Nerine seems not so bad. They have more warriors there and, truth be told, perhaps that is safer for now. Restlessly, the winged female walks the nights, while her daughter sleeps. Innocence is bliss, is it not? At daytime, the white woman takes more summer-sun naps to keep up; it is at those times that the black filly races around the place. Sometimes Ilma thinks that is not a good thing; but the girl is growing up and although she is her firstborn, still she knows there must come a time of detachment, so she simply agrees with these terms for now.

This night, when she spies movement at the southern border, it is no surprise that she takes flight - faster than running and with much less trouble, she nears them. They hardly notice her - for one, not many horses look up, but secondly, they look tired and restless. Refugees, then.

She lands quickly, and welcomes them softly but warmly. "You've reached Hyaline, the sanctuary. I am Ilma." She almost forgets her new title. "Ambassador. Please, come in and be welcome. Would you tell me your names and the reason for this trip to be at night?" It looks like they've travelled far and fast, at least, for those on foot. She addresses the male, because he seems to be the one leading them if she's not mistaken.

Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this: men forget, but never forgive; women forgive, but never forget.
