    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Traits question

So, I know that a few traits have been re-worded and made more specific but I'm still a bit curious about the ones which require physical touch as compared to the ones that don't.

Is it only when a trait forces another character into action? Or are traits that are purely mental in design (like telepathy) the ones that require no touching?? Does the concept of which target it affects (inanimate and animate objects) determine if the user must be in contact or not?

    Why are some both?

SO many questions, super curious, much wow. Thanks.

That's a really broad question that's sort of hard to answer. If you want to ask more specifically about individual traits, we can try to answer that, but I don't know that we can really provide a general blanket statement here. Given the way traits have developed and evolved in the game, there are usually a number of reasons that could explain why something is the way it is. And sometimes maybe it's something that needs to be updated still that we haven't seen, haha.

    Sorry that's not more helpful!

Sent a pm off but thank you both for dropping in! Lmao.

For now I'll keep it as, "if it says touching, then touch." And roll with that.
