    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The star that shines so bright [birthing] - Andras, Porcia

The star that shines so bright.

She had gotten strangely fond of the forest over the last couple of months. Perhaps it was because it had gotten her interest, after Andras had said he wanted them to live in a foresty area and with Smidgen living inside of a hollow tree. Young and carefree as she was, Gyps had gotten curious, and she would have to admit, the forest did spark somewhat in her. Yet not at much as her sky did. Even though she and Andras lived their lives on the ground, the sky was like a second home to her. The only thing she loved more was Andras and the thing they had together, but other than that there wasn’t a better thing than feeling of the wind underneath her wings.

So instead of moving to the more secluded forest, Gyps has chosen a place underneath the blue sky. That was the thing her child had to see first, not the darkness of trees. Sure the forest was full of new life, like every spring, but she wanted to share that what she loved in this very special moment. Of course she chooses a spot that somewhat shields her from prying eyes, that gives her the privacy she needs, on a soft bed of grass. She is nervous, excited at the same time and also somewhat afraid. After all, Gyps is still young herself and she suddenly got aware of the responsibilities she would have not too long ago.

By the time she sits up and reaches out to the little wet bundle behind her, her coat is somewhat damp and her sides heaving. Even before she stands up to tend to the child, she nickers softly, like she was welcoming the girl into the world. Gyps both experiences a serene feeling, as well as worry for each and every danger that might be out there. Her heart instantly filled with motherly love, and the worry to lose her daughter. Her lips travel over the wet bundle, cleaning it, revealing a sleek black coat and spots. The discovery brings a smile to the winged girl’s lips, their daughter was a perfect mix of them both. ”Porcia” she mutters, before nudging the child to encourage her to stand up. ”Come on little one, it’s time to explore the world.”

And to meet her dad of course, although Gyps is sure that her horned lover is near.

    Andras

It was weird to not have Romek around, he was his closest friend, his father figure, only to vanish from the lands. He felt like a failure, unable to provide a home for his family, they could stay in Taiga but Gyps loved to fly, and Taiga restricted her from doing so.

He shook his head(that had his pearl colored horn again) erasing the thoughts from his head, Gyps was due anyday now! He was so excited to see the foal they created, to share the love he has with another equine. In fact he was looking for Gyps in the wooded forest, they often spent spare time here, without a land to belong to after all. He did not want to miss the birthing, but he was out ensuring the safety of there family.

He caught the scent of Gyps, she wasn't alone, did she give birth already? He broke into a spring, galloping as fast as his legs would allow him Gyps! he yelled out, weaving in and around the trees that were in his way. Finally, a small opening where he spotted Gyps who stands over a black spotted foal beside her. He slid to a halt and a smile grew to his face, he extended his neck to nuzzle the sweaty Gyps I'm sorry I wasn't here with you his love only grew for the mare who birthed there foal,  His gaze turned to the foal, who was a filly, he gave a nuzzle to her Porcia as they spoke of before. Shes perfect he said smiling, flicking his gaze between the two.

The light that shines so bright.

Well of course had she left his side. Even though she loved him dearly, this intimate moment was something she wanted – needed – to experience alone. Gyps knows he wouldn’t hurt her, never, and that he would protect her instead of hurting her, yet she had chosen her privacy. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t allow him near now. So she answers his call with a loud whinny right away, without moving away from their black and white daughter’s side.

First a smile appears on her lips upon his arrival and she lovingly returns the greeting, deeply inhaling his scent. ”Don’t be silly, Andras. It was something that I needed to do alone” she answers him, as her muzzle travels down his neck in a silent apology. But when his attention moves to Porcia she cannot help but to feel anxious. It feels wrong to move away from her little girl’s side and even more wrong to let a stallion near her, even though she is highly aware of the fact that Andras wouldn’t be a threat to his own daughter.

She watches father and daughter meeting each other in silence, but whoever would lay their eyes upon her would notice her nervous and uncomfortable state. Gyps knows she can’t tell him to step away, and she doesn’t want to tell him that either, but she simply cannot stop nor ignore the feelings that so suddenly overtake her. This was hér daughter, shé had to protect her, keep her safe from others, sheltered at her side. Perhaps it was due to her own youth, her inexperience with being a mother, or maybe it was even a trauma from her own youth. After all, it could be possible that the lack of faith in her own parents – and Andras’ alike – drove her to this kind of over protectiveness.

”A-An..Andras..” she manages to speak up, hoping that he would understand the situation simply by lying his eyes upon her. Because how could she tell him that her instincts and sheer panic didn’t want him near. Near to their daughter that was, as Gyps needed him tightly at her own side.

    OOC:
Sorry for the drama, don't know where it came from. But I kind of like it, at least it gives them something to work on again haha. Nothing major, she'll ease soon ^^
