After the birth of her firstborn, the rest of the spring passed by quickly. Eva intended to spend the remainder of the season recovering from the birthing. Her first time had been a breeze, but living the island life made her all the more wait until the mainland got a bit more warmer.
When the summer season finally came, Eva decided it was finally time to take Aeolus to meet his father. The duo set out on the early morning one day. Leaving the island behind felt strange, but the purple nereid always looked forward to the adventures ahead.
They travelled by swimming. Following along the west coast of the mainland. Aeolus was now a strong swimmer. It was something she always wanted him to be comfortable with before taking a long journey. Eva at first was cautious with their journey through the waters, but halfway through she allowed herself to relax more. She kept on eye on Aeolus, but the young sunset appaloosa boy always swam ahead, which made watching him even easier.
Aeolus swam freely and ease. He spent his time twirling and twisting as he swam. Eva laughed and smiled happily watching her son. Eventually their journey through the waters came to an end.
Reaching the shore of Brilliant Pampas, Eva quickly froze in wonderstruck as she looked upon the land. The terrain was filled with lush greenery, beautiful flowers, and a cool stream in the distance. It was beautiful as Ischia—almost at least. Eva smiled happily at the sight and moved further into the land with Aeolus at her side.
Eva stopped to take a better look at the terrain that spread out before her and her son. She lowered her muzzle to look better at the colorful array of flowers. A particular purple one stood out to her, and she curiously inhaled the scent of it.
Aeolus broke away from her side, bounding forward. He jumped and kicked as he played a couple of paces away from her. Eva lifted her gaze from the purple flower and smile warmly as her son played.
