look before you leap [any] - Padma - 03-21-2016

Padma
snakes among sweet flowers do creep
Padma is first and foremost- a lady. She raises her children, she keeps herself clean and presentable, and she lets men court her.

However you should know also, that Padma- is a snake.

What do you mean by snake?

Well, I shall tell you.

Padma would poison her lover if it meant she would profit from it. She would sell her soul to the devil if she ever found herself in the position to. She would do it all with a careful practice, with the slightest of hand. The victim would never know, not until it was too late. You might say, that, if it was a snake…it would have bit you.

Long before anyone can tell her otherwise, the snakeskin marked mare leaves the Valley after her son. She is both surprised and intrigued by this little development, curious to see how exactly it would unfold. Why, it’s not every day that you birth an adult is it?- but she was sure he had not begun that way. Details.

It’s not that Padma cared that her newest welp had been tampered with, actually she was pleased. This little endeavor could somehow benefit her- no need to tell the boy.

The clover is still bountiful, even in the heart of autumn, though she can tell that it is slowly fading from lack of a summers kiss. Her figure is sculpted, a fine alabaster all over, adorned with pale snakeskin to match. Shining scales running up the length of her nose, the plates folding in perfect unison against her chest, up her neck. The fine shards running up the length of her legs as forever jeweled leggings.

Padma smirks as she stands on the crest of a hill, overlooking the lands they fondly called ‘Heaven’s Gates’. It was downright hilarious her progeny had found the throne, but as they say- the lord is avenging and wrathful, he is a jealous God. Who’s to say they ever had it right, that the Gates was meant for all things of light and nothing of the dark?
