I need some help > job talk - Calcifer - 10-17-2019 So the other day I ranted about waiting around for a contingent offer from this position I applied for and today I finally received the call from HR proudly offering me the position. All good and dandy - but - they're not offering me what I asked for when I originally interviewed the first time. I expressed this to HR over the phone, and she told me I was free to counter-offer. Said 'ok' and made sure she had my information down, vice versa, then we hung up. I got her email basically stating my hourly offer and when/where I could reach her. My question for you/anyone on the site is: Has anyone gone through something like this (counter-offering on a position) and if so, how'd you go about it? Verbally? Through email? Her email was short and to the point; aside from googling I'm kind of in a gray area about how I should approach asking for a higher pay, but I do think I deserve higher than what I've been offered.
