Eyes turned skyward, Any! - Ruinam - 07-28-2019

winter wonderland

Ruinam had taken some time to himself to explore Ischia after Adria had invited him, the stallion was deeply curious about all the fauna and the climate of the island and also who lived here.
His companion, on the other hand, was not as interested, in his eyes, Ruinam had led him to an even hotter island where his struggle with the climate increased due to his thick arctic fur.

As he begins exploring the stallion comes across a dense pile of long and thin leaves covering a prickly fruit with what looked like a small spiky shrub growing out of the top. The stallion is somewhat cautious as he approaches the plant, throwing a confused look toward his companion who now appears quite amused.

Ruinam gently paws at the plant until the fruit gives way and falls, he lowers his body down to touch it, running his soft muzzle along the prickly edges of the fruit. Next, the stallion applies pressure with his hoof and cracks the fruit open, pale liquid streams out of the plant as its yellow flesh becomes exposed, carefully and quietly the stallion nibbles on the fruit, his expression golden as the sweet taste rushes along his tongue. The fruit stings the edges of his mouth at first but the feeling quickly subsides as he rises to his feet, his companion now also taking a nibble at the fruit.

Now the stallion wonders what other interesting and tasty things he could find on the island, excited to tell Adria about all the different things he has found and tasted, though his companion clearly could not care less.
