There would be no visiting Nerine without making a point of seeing Brennen. So, after all of the business is tended to, Jesper seeks the wise, winged steed in order to catch up. He had not seen him since they fled Ischia though, he thought that for the best. He adored and admired his grandfather. Yet, the black noticed he used him more as a crutch than a mentor.

This is why he chose to reside on the Isle. He is close by and, yet, physically separated. Jesper had discovered a great deal about himself during his time across the bay. He could not be certain if he would have made the same discovery under Brennen's wings or, not but, he could finally feel his confidence returning.

He never quite caught a glimpse of the mahogany steed during the meeting so, he could not simply flag him down. However, Brennen never tried to hide himself on purpose and so, with the use of his sensitive olfactories, Jesper soon catches his scent. A gleeful whinny escapes parted maw as muscled haunches push lean equine into a lope. His ebony canvas reflects the benefits of the season; however, he is far from plump. Well-sprung ribs are hidden though no extra padding is built in to cushion him for when winter returns. His aquamarine gaze is just as bright as they match the honey-hued eyes of the older male. A large smile spreads across his lips before stride breaks and limbs now alternate in an even, two-beat gait. Jesper pushes himself right into the crook of Brennen's nape where he places a nibble upon his withers. He holds the embrace for a moment or two and then, backs away enough to make eye contact as he speaks. "I swung by for the kingdom announcement and, could not leave before saying hello. How have you been? What has been going on on the mainland? Now that the drama has been squashed, it is beyond quiet on the Isle." His words tumble out as quick as his excited breaths. Falling quiet, his sides slowly resume their normal rate of rise and fall. He waits idly, with utmost patience, for Brennen's reply.
