The river water is wild today; perhaps some of the glaciers had started to melt. Spring had come, though this was early for a spring flood - she was checking it out just in case. Hyaline's mountains may well be the source of the extra water, and the trouble that went with it, that didn't mean she she was blind for it as soon as it passed the border. If she could safe one animal from being drowned, then that was one, and her efforts had been worth it.

Besides, Ember was growing up. Llowell was two years old now, though he hadn't been home for a while already. A wanderer like his father. Tähti was still with her, though. But if that was because she loved her home or because she felt the need to protect it, the white mare wasn't entirely sure.

Her wings emit a soft glow in the after-rain. She walks - saving flying energy for if and when it's needed. Besides, she has spent most winter in Hyaline, and walking will help her retain muscle just in case it's necessary; not all the world was good and right, she has experienced first-hand.
