bottom of the deep blue sea||PODRICK - Isobell - 06-28-2017

isobell

The river numbs her feet as she stands staring into the cold dark waters. The gray sky reflects eerily as it can not decide between rainfall or snow. A few small splatters of cold rain sink into her skin after only a second's thought.

The black and white tobiano yearling shivers against he cold as the winds catch the small length of her growing tail, tugging it over her hind end as she startles a bit. Pewter filled eyes cast across the length of the water as she wonders how deep it goes but better decides that a cold autumn day was not the best time to find out. Thin legs sludge her from the liquid as the rain begins to fall in sheets, coating her thin hide, painting her two tones mane against the length of her neck. She walks to the edge of pebbles and grit, very unlike the dark sands of Nerine, but Iso is not alone. She tosses the wet flop of her forelock from her eyes to see another moving away to the shelter of near by trees and follows after him "Hi! Wait!" She hurries to hide beneath he thick arms of a fir, a small curl of embarrassed smile pulling ehr lips as she moves so there is space between them. "Sorry...the rain is so cold." She adds carefully as she drips along side the boy.

RE: bottom of the deep blue sea||PODRICK - Podrick - 07-02-2017

Pod has always been a good kid, at least to his own eyes.

Sure, his mother had abandoned him and he's too antisocial to get out there and make friends by himself, but that doesn't make him a bad kid... he hopes. His mother had dropped him in the Meadow—not even the adoption grounds, but such is her personality—just days after his birth and discovering that he, like her, had been rendered "useless" by the Reckoning. She apparently hadn't taken well to losing her powers, and had no time for a powerless kid, either. But he was never bad, aside from waking her up for meals in the middle of the night. Does that call for abandonment?

Like Isobell, he too is standing on the banks of the River when a cold drizzle starts to fall, staring out across the water. Within moments the drizzle develops into a freezing, sleeting rain, and he backs quickly away from the water as his white upper half becomes drenched with rainwater and starts to fade into grey. He shivers as he hurries towards the shelter of the trees, but is stopped by a voice calling after him. Quickly he turns, water streaming into his blue eyes as he blinks rapidly, trying to clear them.

The black and white girl catches up to him and they hurry the rest of the way to shelter together, and her body briefly brushes his as she squeezes under the fir tree with him. Embarrassed, he can't help but draw another step away from her, and dips his head awkwardly as she apologizes. "No, um, apology needed," he responds, teeth chattering slightly from the cold. "I'm Podrick. O-or Pod, whichever you like, really."
