Reuen suffers from Catatonic Schizprehnia. Brought on by a large trauma in her past. Due to this she is often quite mute, speaking in a rather peculiar way. She is quiet and gets lost in her mind, wandering the blank corridors. The basis of her personality is the following;

Reuen was born in a far off land, unknown to Beqanna. She was born to a very large heralded, bordering kingdom. A cruel king her father, a lowly wench her mother. She lived through hellish times in her homeland. Until everything snapped.
The kingdom was raided by a neighbouring land and with it, blood was spilt. Lives were taken and Reuen was spared, only to be taken down by her own father. Reuen fought within an inch of her life, but it was the neighbouring leader that spared her. Ripping her from her father's clutches, he told her one word, Run. And she did.
Reuben fell upon Beqanna, running blindly and with no direction, to Heaven's Gates. Where upon touching the serene soil, she slipped into a traumatic state of mind. Catatonia. Her eyes deadened, her body lifeless. Her body blooded and a mess.
Reuen finds a friend in Wichita, being present at the time of Wichita's foaling, she meets Tioga. There she also meets the Queen, Fiasko. Wichita helps Reuen bathe her wounds but the traumatised girl is little more than a shell of a child.
Upon one of her journeys to the field, she meets Gryffen. He taunts her and lures her in, but she is rescued by Jason, a knight of the Gates. Reuen remembers the ghost man, his red eyes. It triggered some memories and pushed her back into the darkness.
Reuen awoke in another place, this becoming a recurring pattern. Here, she is taken advantage off by an iron steed, Khaos. Little does she realise the swelling of her barrel indicates a new life.
More blackouts lead to Reuen waking up in the meadow where she meets Naoi and a dark autumn stallion, who taunts her and throws a dead mammal at her. This takes Reuen back to more memories, where she slowly falls more and more into despair. Thinking that the evil shadow who destroyed her family is coming for her.
Come spring she gives birth to Kernick. And is traumatised by the event, which pushes her back.
Reuen joins Mast on a trip to the Chamber, where she encounters Gryffen once again.
In the Field, Reuen finds a young filly, Nadyah, and takes her to the Gates.
