Leokadia was born in winter outside of Beqanna. She was small and unable to fly and so was likely a burden to a lone mare in the dead of winter. The girl was abandoned in Beqanna, and after making her way alone to the adoption den she was adopted by Jayhawk. Her adoptive mother gave birth to twins, luckily for them Leokadia was more interested in chasing small animals than in the two newborns. She met Ilma, who invited the family to move into Hyaline rather than continuing to shelter in the forest. Once she outgrew the need for the constant guardianship a mother provided, Lo took to wandering Beqanna. She was learning to fly and growing taller and stronger.
