Kreios (along with his twin brother Kratos) was raised mostly in the Dale with his mother and older sister, but spent some time in the Desert with his father. Kreios was neither as fast nor as strong as his twin brother, and had no interest in fighting, making him an embarrassment to his father and mother, who were both great warriors. Regardless of this, when he was old enough Kreios joined the army of the Desert in an effort to make his parents, especially his father, proud. However, his mother and father both died before he made anything of himself.

Kreios started a herd in the Orange Country with Nymeria, Illusen, Naira, Syl and Sloene. His first son, Paxton, was born in the herd, but Kreios left Beqanna before the birth of Szeth. He spent the next few years as the lead stallion of a zebra herd in an unnamed savanna, and sired a handful of sons and daughters with the mares there. At his father's reincarnation he was called back to Beqanna by Yael. Shortly after returning, he was trapped in Purgatory, and forced to fight to keep the Conquest, Famine, War, and Death from entering Beqanna. The quest left him psychically and mentally drained, and he went to the Dazzling Waterfall to recover, knowing of its magical water. He has been living there sine, and has developed a friendship with the king,Texas. That friendship, along with demonstrated loyalty to his adopted kingdom, earned him a place as King when Texas stepped down. Eventually he became romantically involved with his c-ruler, Ygritte, and the two have three children together
When the Reckoning occurred and the Falls was lost, the members of the old kingdom elected Kreios as their leader, and the group has recently been granted the land of Deciduous Woods.
