Lepis has been a dynamic, interesting character since she was born as Queen of Loess. In the time since she has served three kingdoms, divorced two men, loved one, and birthed eight children. Currently, she is the ruler of Taiga, but she has played a pivotal role in the fates of many lands. She is always a fun read and usually has a surprise waiting for us. Congrats to Lepis!
QOTY
"She was close to touching him now,
and there is a fleeting moment where
she thinks she sees him flinch, like he
thought about touching her, too. And in
that moment, she thinks her heart might
have stopped, but just like countless
times before she is left waiting for a
kindness that never comes."
Located just north of the Mountain on a swatch of flat land is a forest. Very little light reaches the ground in this densely forested land. The trees here are of all deciduous types with a large number of beech, walnut, and hickory. Regardless of the season, the leaves in these woods remain perpetually autumn-colored – ranging from deep red to the palest yellow. Scattered randomly through the woods are large boulders three and four times the size of a horse.
